Asthma researcher wins Novice Presenter Prize at the Society for Academic Primary Care (SAPC) South East Regional Meeting
Congratulations to QMUL-based Academic Clinical Fellow Dr Sam Mazumdar, who - after presenting at the Asthma UK Centre for Applied Research Annual Scientific Meeting - went on to present his research at the SAPC regional meeting in Cambridge on 25th January, winning the Highly Commended Novice Presenter Prize.
Dr Mazumdar (pictured second from left) delivered a session on smartphone apps for asthma medication adherence based on his systematic review of underlying adherence theories and behaviour change techniques - work which was also presented as a poster at the Asthma UK Centre for Applied Research Annual Scientific Meeting in Bristol. With research interests in digital technologies, health psychology and adherence theories, Dr Mazumdar's work is currently informing the production of an asthma adherence app at the Asthma UK Centre for Applied Research.
