Dr Allison Worth, our Centre Patient and Public Involvement Forum Lead, will lead a half-day course in involving patients and the public in research this September (19/09/17, Edinburgh).
Aimed at researchers and co-facilitated by Asthma UK Centre for Applied Research PPI members, ‘A Practical Guide to Patient and Public Involvement in Research’ will explore the following topics:
- How and why to involve people
- Resources, planning and budgeting
- How involving people can help you to get your grant
- Impact: how involvement can help with your REF profile….and beyond
- Effective involvement: top tips from those who have succeeded
- Challenges and how to overcome them
PhD students are encouraged to attend.
