Congratulations from all at the Centre to Professor Steve Cunningham who, on 1st August, received the prestigious award of Personal Chair at the University of Edinburgh for his work in respiratory medicine.
Steve was the Chief Investigator of the Bronchiolitis of Infancy Discharge (BIDS) trial, which was awarded BMJ UK Research Paper of the Year 2016. BIDS was run through the Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit, as is Steve’s work for CHILD-EU, a multinational partnership project on interstitial lung diseases.
Steve is now Consultant and Honorary Professor in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, based at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children.
